CCR officially approved as WEEE take back system in Rumania – the only provider for the return of all ten product categories

CCR Logistics Systems RO S.R.L., the Romanian subsidiary of CCR, was approved by the national Environment Agency of Romania as a take back system for waste electrical and electronic equipment on 18 December 2008.

This makes CCR with CCR REWEEE the only system that has been licensed for all ten product categories.

Achim Winter, Chairman of the Board of CCR, explained how pleased he is about this positive decision: "We have been registering strong interest in our services among manufacturers in Romania for months. We already have a host of contracts signed with well-known companies, which of course makes the start somewhat easier for us."

CCR has thus made another decisive step towards complete European coverage. CCR already offers its customers a one-stop shopping service for over 20 countries in Europe.

Within the scope of this approval, CCR Logistics Systems RO will assume all legally transferable obligations of the manufacturers in the area of WEEE (waste electrical equipment). With a nationwide network of collection points and recovery and recycling technologies, the system guarantees exemplary quality standards at advantageous conditions.

"Our system has been prepared and ready for several months. The approval enables us to get started straight away," says Gheorghe Loloiu, Key Account Manager of the Romanian company.

Strengthened by the demand from manufacturers, CCR is planning to extend its range of products in Rumania to include further take back systems, for example for batteries.

Mr Loloiu will be pleased to assist with any questions regarding the Romanian recovery and return system (telephone +49 89 49049 507, email gheorghe.loloiu@ccr.de).
